One pair of the highly sought after hammered brass candle wall sconces in a subtle shell design by Lars Homström (1894-1959), made in Arvika, Sweden.
This pair is in an exceptional condition for a mid-century piece, there are only slight signs of wear. The hammered surface creates a beautiful blurred reflection that catches the light, not to mention the warm glow of the candle flicker.
Known for producing well-made pieces, Lars was mentioned in French art magazines where his works are described as masterful works of art. He had a strong feeling for the material, something he shares with Värmland craftsmen in general.
