This vintage green bowl is known as Tamegroute pottery, which is named after the village in the Draa Valley, Morocco, where it is made using local river clay. It is characterised by its unique green glaze, achieved through an ancient technique involving silicon, manganese, and copper, and fired in traditional earth kilns. Each piece is hand-thrown and shaped, resulting in natural variations in glaze and texture, making every bowl a one-of-a-kind item. Tamegroute pottery is known for its three point stacking marks which appear on each piece due to stacking the pottery in the kiln.
