An antique solid ash stool with hand woven rush seat from the Arts & Crafts movement in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
This stool measures 48 (l) x 35 (w) x 28 (d) cm and is perfect to use on its own as a decorative piece or to use functionally as the seat is still very useable.
It would be perfect as a porch or hallway chair for taking shoes on or off or would look great styled with a small lamp, books, dried/fresh stems/florals or other decorative objects. The seat isn’t completely flat as it was not designed this way, so if you want to put an item on it such as a lamp or plant you are best putting a flat object such as a book on first.
For its age it’s in a good antique condition and very useable. However as it is an antique there is of course general wear and tear such as discolouration on the legs and seat. The photos and video capture this.
